I've been a fan of Peterson strobe tuners since I first used one back in the late 1970s. This StroboStomp HD is the fourth Peterson strobe tuner I've owned in the closet to 50 years since then. Mind you that's not because any of them have ever broken (though one was stolen, and immediately replaced), but simply that new technology along the way has made them smaller, lighter and more versatile. The convenience of having one on my pedalboard and knowing that perfect tuning (or as close as one can ever get) is always available makes my tendency to grab the whammy bar and mangle the strings something that I never need worry about.
