Works really well as an always-on device, which is exactly what I was looking for. The warranty registration process was a bit clunky, but I eventually got it completed. The instruction sheet was also somewhat difficult to follow at first.
Once registration was done, connecting the device to the web interface using the included USB cable worked very smoothly and ended up being much easier than the usual “press this while holding that” setup process.
Since the device offers a lot of features, some setup complexity is probably unavoidable. For my use, the difference between EQU and the Bass Sweetener tuning was pretty subtle, so I’ve mostly left it on EQU for general playing.
One unexpected note: I actually found AI explanations more helpful than the included instructions when learning how everything worked. Not necessarily a dealbreaker—just part of modern technology these days.

Peterson Stobo Tuners are the best! Had a Conn strobe tuner for years and was holding it together with duct tape and a prayer. Peterson does all that and more invaluable tool for all musicians.

I’ve been using Peterson tuning for a while now starting with the app for iPhone. I love the functionality of this app as it offers many tools but for everyday use I chose the StroboStompHD. I love this tuner as well and have known about the sweeteners but haven’t had a chance to use them until recently. I was improvising to a piano track and kept checking my tuning on my bass because things weren’t clicking like I’ve come to expect. I remembered the sweetener for bass and piano and applied it and had my mind blown! I couldn’t quite believe it but very quickly just got lost in playing. That’s probably the biggest compliment I can give. Nothing to get in the way of the music. I can’t recommend Peterson tuners enough.
