I've been a huge fan of Peterson products for decades, and was amongst the first of Nashville session players to have their first auto strobe tuner on a pedalboard.
I also purchased the first of your stand-up strobe tuners, before they became a brighter blue and still use it today. I needed to replace the clip-on sensor for that unit because it got a bit worn out over the years, and am very happy with this new, larger one. Go Peterson!

It is rather clunky. It won't quite fit on the tuning pins, bridge, or other appropriate hard to get to places of a piano. I had a hard time getting a clean reading of a piano I tried it on.

It is not a good shape for a violin or cello, and if there is a narrow lip to clamp onto, it doesn't work well. Also it doesn't have a foot that enables it to adjust perfectly to maximize contact area and stability as some clip ons have.

Especially great for tuning with other musicians or in noisy environments. Nice long cord
