I bought the StroboStomp mini to replace my PolyTune 2 mini. The polytune has only 18 led segments and I found it too bright, sometimes flickery and overall a little uncomfortable and distracting to view. The strobostomp mini solves that problem without sacrificing any tuning precision AND I love the ability to make custom tunings, change the strobe speed and pattern size, and color of the tuning modes, and much more. I also love the switchable buffer (true bypass, buffer, and monitor mode).
The backlit LCD display is an interesting vintage choice, but it functions well. It is optimized for standing up directly in front of the pedal on the floor or pedal board and has obvious viewing angle artifacts outside of that range but it's never a problem unless I'm sitting and the tuner is on the desk in front of me. The utility of the top mounted jacks is kind of lost when the DC power input is on the side. If it was technically possible, the USB port would have been better there with DC on the top instead. The Peterson Connect webapp works fine, though the browsers supporting the WebHID thingy are limited (basically Chrome or Edge only, Safari and Firefox don't, Opera should be good but isn't).
Overall, it's an excellent highly customizable tuner.
