Solid materials used in construction and seems to be well built. There is a bit of a learning curve and I did find it much easier to attach to my laptop via usb and make settings and changes from there. Overall very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend. The sweeteners for the pedal steel guitar (e flat tuning) are really what I appreciate the most and were basically what I purchased this strobe tuner for. Seems to be working very well so far although I have only used it for about a week now.
