The Peterson StroboStomp HD is my second Peterson tuner. My first was the StroboStomp 2 which at the time I was convinced was the best pedal tuner available. Once moving to a strobe tuner I’ve never looked back. I loved my StroboStomp 2. However the minute I saw the HD on release I knew I would have to get one. Peterson took all the best elements of the StroboStomp 2 and improved upon it with the bigger, coloured LED screen, the improved presets, the ability to update via USB and of course the smaller footprint. The tuning accuracy is excellent. The ease of use fantastic. I particularly love the ability to set my own tuning presets and toggle through them with my foot on the switch and tapping my strings. Brilliant innovation. The StroboStomp HD should become the industry standard for stomp box tuners.

What’s more, Peterson’s after sales service is second to none. Through my own clumsiness I ended up cracking the screens on both my Peterson tuners (dropped and XLR mic cable end in my StroboStomp 2, dropped another pedal on my HD). In both instances I contacted Peterson and both times they supplied me with a replacement screen, posted to my door on the other side of the world in Australia. They could have wiped their hands of it given it was my fault and not the fault of their product but on both occasions they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating.

All in all the StroboStomp HD is a fantastic tuner well on its way to becoming the new industry standard for stomp box guitar tuners.
