I also have the original Stroboclip and the HD is definitely an improvement. Not by a massive margin but more stable. The low B is still a little hesitant but perfectly useable and care is needed when mounting on the back of the headstock to avoid tuning mechanisms due to to width of the HD. That said it's a very good clip on tuner that works very well. Be even better if the HD came with a case and a non-reflective screen protector.
