Compared to previous Stroboclip this newer incarnation has some problems on 5-String upright bass.

1. Tuning low B string: I'm used to tuners sometimes indicating a harmonic rather than a fundamental. But this tuner at least half the time detects an "A" rather than the actual "B". Where is that coming from? Almost invariably I have to tune the octave harmonic rather than the open string. Any cheap tuner can do that. The older Stroboclip sometimes balked at the open string too but it never misidentified it.

Great product, very stable and intuitive my original StroboClip purchased quite a while ago continues to function electronically however the mechanical clamp bit the dust twice now and is no longer available, oh well. I hate throwing something away that electronically still works. ---
