I also have a TC Poly-tune clip on tuner and several Snarks. The Snarks are cheaply made but do an ok job for a modest cost. Not a fair comparison to the Peterson but the TC Poly-tune is, and is priced similarly.

The Peterson works as advertised and the strobe is easy to tune with in a hurry - none of the characteristic "rolling delay/lag" usually associated with strobe tuners. Extremely accurate and capable of using to set intonation. Easy to read in bright outside daylight. Points lost for the cheap plastic/nylon clamp-extension arm design. This is clearly the weak part of the tuner and disappointing for a tuner at this price point. It's going to break at the arm if (when...) you're not careful with it, guaranteed. The TC Polytune is accurate but hard to read in bright direct daylight (outdoor sun). The TC hands down has a better quality-clip on mount being all metal. Peterson should take note.

We'll see how long 'til the Peterson snaps off at the mount. I don't think that would be covered under the 2 year warranty.
