On top of being dead accurate, the "Sweetened Tunings" for a pedal steel in particular makes compensated tuning infinitely easier, plus the musical output is significantly better. I really cannot wait to see what these "sweetened tuning" programs will do for the performance of my other instruments.

I absolutely regret that I hesitated to buy one of these tuners because of the price. I am giving away and/or selling ALL of my old tuners, I am that impressed. Do NOT procrastinate your decision like I did.

One lesson learned: The tuner has two "sweetened tunings for PSG, one for open strings, and a second for the pedals and lever notes. When powering up, the tuner will open up to the last tuning used. I missed this on my first gig and tuned all of my Open strings to the criteria embedded in the Pedal/Lever tuning. This caused a slight sound discordance for that performance. However, keep in mind that most instruments will not have two sets of tuning software like the PSG does. This problem will not apply to instruments like guitars, mandolins and whatever.
