I will start by saying that I do own a StroboPLUS HD (I even reviewed it), and I am very happy with it. It has worked exceptionally well for me and - if you know anything about Peterson gear - the tuning is immaculate. That being said, I also have it hooked to my music stand, which means when I want to play my harp upstairs, I either need to tune before I get there or unscrew the tuner to take it with me, which is not at all convenient. While I adore the operation of the StroboPLUS HD, it's not the kind of thing I can keep in the pocket of my harp bag along with the pickup to hook it up. I don't leave the house with my harp much, so this has not been a major issue. However, this winter I decided I would spend more time upstairs rather than heat the downstairs, which is where I typically keep and play my harp. So I had to figure something out for tuning and decided I would take a chance on the StroboClip HD. I've been sitting on my bed while playing, which doesn't work well with the StroboPLUS HD. The StroboClip HD, on the other hand, is completely self-contained and barely noticeable on my harp. Tuning is a snap - the fact that I could download the same harp Sweetener to the StroboClip HD that I have on the StroboPLUS HD is amazing. The tuning is perfect. The only difference is that I don't have unscrew my StroboPLUS HD and drag around the pickup. AND I LOVE THAT!

I highly recommend this tuner for harpers. I thought I loved my StroboPLUS HD. This StroboClip is actually a step up for regular use. For what it's worth, I wouldn't regulate a harp with the StroboClip HD. I would reserve major maintenance tuning for the StroboPLUS HD, which has a bigger screen and delivers more data about the note being played. But for day-to-day tuning? I think there is nothing better than this StroboClip HD.
