Stomp Classic
Overview
The Peterson VSS-C StroboStomp Classic Tuner is the most fully-featured pedal tuner made by anyone to date. A high-contrast LCD screen makes this tuner the perfect choice for both indoor and outdoor use as well as for anywhere that lighting conditions are less than ideal. Integrated, fold out, steel mounting lugs at the unit’s bottom rubberized plate keep it in place on your pedal board without unsightly tape or messy adhesives. Its ultra-robust die-cast chassis and Switchcraft brand input/output jacks assure a quality tuning even after the roughest of voyages. Also, its unique quick- release battery-access door steers you far away from having to deal with delicate, easily broken, battery lead wires. Battery changes are a breeze!
The professional-quality active DI on board is mutable and lets you select one of three stages of signal attenuation—all while remaining 100% true bypass. Finally, the tuner’s side mounted USB jack makes your unit future-proof and custom tailored to be exactly what you need it to be by allowing Mac or PC connectivity for updates and unit user programming/modifications.

Was will man mehr?
5 stars - no... 6 stars (!) - from Berlin (Germany). Thanks a lot.

The design and connectivity will no doubt appeal to audio professionals and performers, for me even at an enthusiast level it was quite a revelation being able to achieve those elusive pro tunings, a very satisfying game changer!
Having personally experienced Peterson’s reputation for customer satisfaction and support recently, they really excelled and I would like to thank John and all at Peterson for their help and kindness!
Frequently Asked Questions
What power supplies can be used with my Peterson Pedal Tuner? ( StroboStomp 1 & 2, Stomp Classic & StroboStomp HD )
Partial list of regulated power supplies:
- Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 (Eight isolated 9VDC 100mA regulated outputs)
- Dunlop DCB-10 DC Brick (10 outputs)
- Visual Sound 1-Spot (9V fully regulated output)
- Carl Martin Big John 9v Power Supply (Seven 9VDC outputs 600mA total)
- Sanyo Pedal Juice
- T-Rex Fuel Tank
- Godlyke PA9 Power All (9V 800mA regulated output)
- Boss PSA120 adapter (9V 200mA regulated)
As always with any pedal, be careful - check voltage (9V or 12VDC regulated) & polarity (positive barrel-negative inner sleeve) first and don't overload the power supply's ampere rating by daisy chaining too many pedals from a single supply.

How do I read a strobe display?
Adjust your instrument until the pattern is as close to still as possible. Strobe displays are 'real-time' and extremely high definition. They require very precise tuning adjustments to stop the display because the frequency/pitch of any instrument is never totally stable.
You'll quickly learn to read the display, make the most precise adjustments and appreciate the high resolution that only a Peterson provides.

*Some Ubuntu based distros do not allow running Chrome as root with the --no-sandbox option enabled. -Running as root without --no-sandbox is not supported. See https://crbug.com/638180. You can however run Chromium as a normal user and invoke that option.
