I've been a Peterson Tuners fan since the 80's...heck - my last name is actually Peterson. I love the iphone\ipad app and I was thrilled to get this one given that it was configurable via software and had firmware that could be easily updated. My trusty old VS-II tuner wasn't working properly on the DC adapter anymore (still works fine but ONLY on batteries) and I was building a new pedalboard and immediately this seemed like the perfect choice. And for my needs it is... I guess.

Honestly, It's a wonderful tuner. BUT...After only an hour or two of use a few things are starting to bug me.

Buyer's remorse items:
1. Useless for acoustic instruments - the ONLY way to even turn the thing on is to stick a 1/4" plug into it. I think I would have been just as happy to have the XLR DI be a mic INPUT instead; so you could use a microphone on it for picking up and tuning acoustic sounds.

2. The "software" for accessing the internal functionality (GUI) is really just a Google Chrome plugin: it ...

This my 1st. Experience with a strobe tuner. They are so much different than a regular tuner. I don’t regret paying the extra for the Peterson brand. There are so many others out there but the quality of the Stomp Classic is what really sold me. It was well worth it.
