Will Shenk is owner and operator of Métier Mastering, a 24 track recording, mixing, mastering and audio restoration studio located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Will’s professional career began in 1998, producing audio for radio broadcast before accepting the position of Chief Recording and Mastering Engineer for National Media Services' "Upper Room Studios," a position he held until April 2019 when he left to pursue his lifelong dream of owning and operating his own studio.
In 1993 Will received a Bachelor of Music (Music Education) from Shenandoah University's Conservatory of Music. There he studied trumpet performance, music theory, composition, arrangement, music education, music production and recording systems techniques. He studied both jazz and classical styles of performance.
Will's knowledge and experience of recording and mastering is only exceeded by his love of the business. Since 2010, Will has contributed in the production of 26 nominated or award-winning songs or albums and had a hand in the production of 95 charted songs or albums with 42 top 10s in various genre charts.
Will has been using Peterson Strobe tuners since his middle school band days.
