I’m very happy with my Peterson Strobe Tuner. It tunes all my instruments quickly and with incredible accuracy – far better than any regular tuner I’ve used before. The built-in metronome function is also very handy for practicing.

I'm sure this is a world-class tuner but I have decided to return it. The tuner's user interface needs a redesign in order to simplify the user experience. The manufacturer has opted to provide cumbersome, clumsy documentation rather than get to the root of the problem. Peterson is proud of its long history of products but sometimes that means a company is stuck in its old ways and needs a fresh perspective to keep up with the times. That's what I get a sense of here. The inclusion of a built-in metronome is a good example. Years ago, it was a novel feature but today it could be removed in favor of developing an intuitive way to access and adjust the sweetened tuning settings and info, for example.
I applaud a company that has been around for generations, but for me that doesn't make up for selling a product that isn't all it could be.
