I purchased a Peterson StroboFlip around 20 years ago and it finally died, so the StroboPlus HDC was the logical replacement unit for me. I love Peterson tuners. The accuracy and features are the best in the industry as far as I am concerned. The StroboPlus HDC meets or exceeds all my tuning needs. This is my first strobe tuner and I have to say, I'm seriously impressed! The tuner by itself is amazing for it's precise control and accuracy. And you can't beat the convenience of having a stand alone metronome. The timer and tone generator are great as well. I'm extremely proud of my purchase and Peterson has made a lifelong fan!

This is an astounding tool for practice and performance.
The strobe tuner is responsive in a way that makes any non-strobing tuner seem an age behind. I've also found that that the strobing effect on the wheel is remarkably intuitive. My mind and the muscles I use for my instrument (trumpet) inherently understand what the tuner is asking me to do. The tuner is larger than others, but is light enough to sit on the music stand without dropping it (for hydraulic stands) and small enough to carry in my case. I also enjoy that it lets me transpose the display, so I can see the pitches on my page vs. the concert pitch.
The Metronome is quite powerful. It has a wide tempo spectrum that puts everything I work on well within its range. It's like having a 'son of Dr. Beat' on speed dial.
With the battery life and rechargeability, this device has instantly become a mandatory companion for me any time I'm playing in a setting that allows it.
