Having used clip-on and stand-alone tuners for the past 30+ years of playing guitar and bass guitar (along with other instruments) I found the Peterson StroboStomp HD totally by accident while looking at effects pedals. What a find!!!
Not only do I now have my intonation and tuning truly sorted on my electric instruments, but in a live environment I know my guitars and basses are absolutely spot on. Drawing looks and questions from other musicians I work with ("a strobe tuner on a pedal-board? Why do you need that?") fellow musicians soon change their tune (no pun intended) when they see how quickly, easily and accurately I tune between songs!
This "simple' piece of kit has changed mid-set tuning and instrument prep to be a pleasure, rather than a necessity.

I’ve been using Peterson tuning for a while now starting with the app for iPhone. I love the functionality of this app as it offers many tools but for everyday use I chose the StroboStompHD. I love this tuner as well and have known about the sweeteners but haven’t had a chance to use them until recently. I was improvising to a piano track and kept checking my tuning on my bass because things weren’t clicking like I’ve come to expect. I remembered the sweetener for bass and piano and applied it and had my mind blown! I couldn’t quite believe it but very quickly just got lost in playing. That’s probably the biggest compliment I can give. Nothing to get in the way of the music. I can’t recommend Peterson tuners enough.

.Very accurate, easy to configure, and the display is extremely clear. I use EQU, GTR, and ACU presets for my guitars, and the tuning experience is much better than with conventional tuners. Monitor Mode is also very useful.
