NOT GOOD FOR CLASSICAL GUITARS

I bought this tuner 1/7/2018. I gave it only 2 stars because it could hardly grip my Cordoba C7. It bites just a tad better on my Cordoba GK Studio Negra and Gianini Serie Classica. The 1st time I used it on my Cordoba C7 it slips, dropping to the floor, because it was opened to maximum just to bite the end part of the guitar. The rectangular pad separated. I was horrified. Did I just break a brand new $60 tuner? Luckily I was able to insert back the pad to its hinge. Now I’m alway very careful making it bite. The analogy is that instead of holding a softball with our whole hand we’re holding the ball with just the tip of our thumb and 1st finger. Since I tune every after piece, about 3 minutes, you can imagine how a pain in the butt this design defect is. I’ve been playing classical guitar since 1977 and I currently own 4 other tuners without this issue. To be fair, this is the most accurate tuner I have. I’m very happy with its accuracy but because it slows me down every time I try to make it bite I can only give it 2 stars. Not recommended for classical guitars since they have thicker stock than other guitars.
