Plays 6-String Electric Guitar, 6-String Acoustic Guitar
I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and the Strobostomp HD is the most accurate tuner I have owned. As claimed, it does make a noticeable difference to the sound of my guitars - they sound more in-tune using the Strobostomp HD.
After checking the intonation of my instruments with the Strobostomp, I found that they all required some slight adjustment, which has also helped. I have not experimented much with the sweetened tuning presets at this point in time, as I found the chromatic Equal Temperament default preset to be more than adequate for my needs.
Once you get used to the fact that the strobe display does not have to be completely stationary for your guitar to sound in-tune, it is a breeze to use and has almost every feature you could ask for in a tuner, and then some!
It does lack the polyphonic mode of the TC Electronics Polytune tuner that I have replaced, however that was not a feature that I relied heavily upon. The Strobostomp is more accurate than the Polytune, at least to my ears!
The Strobostomp HD is built like a tank and is obviously a quality instrument, it is also competitively priced in my opinion. It is great for live use and for guitar set-up, if you can't afford one of its big brothers.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Strobstomp HD to any discerning guitarist or luthier.
